The Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Hon. Pal Mai Deng has today met in his office with the Ambassador of British H.E. Guy Warrington and they discussed the Ministry’s response on how to curb the impact posed by the flooding in the country.
Hon. Minister briefed the Ambassador on the roles played by the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation through the Department of Hydrology in providing the public with timely and daily data of the rainfall forecasts as well as the water levels of the rivers.
H.E. the Ambassador assured the Minister that the government of UK will always be supportive and stand with the government and people of South Sudan in their efforts to overcome the floods.
Hon. Minister assured the Ambassador about the long term and short term solution to floods affecting the country.
