In a significant diplomatic encounter, Hon. Pal Mai Deng, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation, met with His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Faisal Al Qassimi, Chairman of the Climate Group Africa. The meeting, held in the United Arab Emirates, focused on funding opportunities for green projects in South Sudan.
During discussions, both teams expressed support for South Sudan’s efforts to assess its carbon stock and enhance carbon sequestration. Proposals on WASH, tree plantation, irrigated agriculture, and water infrastructure development were outlined as collaborative initiatives.
