In a significant milestone for South Sudan’s climate resilience initiatives, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation (MWRI) has officially entered into a contract with Sheladia Associates Inc (USA). This agreement designates Sheladia as the third-party monitor for the Regional Climate Resilience Program for Eastern and Southern Africa, reinforcing the government’s commitment to transparent and effective project execution.
The signing ceremony was attended by prominent officials, including Hon. Twarowski, Senior Advisor to Sheladia’s President, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, citing the firm’s extensive experience spanning over 34 years in project monitoring and evaluation. “We are excited to partner with MWRI and bring our expertise to the table. Our team will work closely with Liberty Engineering & Construction Ltd., our local partner, to ensure the successful implementation of climate resilience initiatives across South Sudan,” Twarowski affirmed.
Sheladia’s role will involve rigorous oversight and assessment of various climate resilience projects, including infrastructure developments aimed at mitigating the impacts of climate change.
